• Sneeze or cough into a cloth, tissue, or in your own arm
• You may be asked to wait outside of Town Hall if the current building capacity has exceeded allowed limits

Our protocol for making occupied home inspections is not changing at this time. Our inspectors will not be entering homes where people are residing. Some exceptions may be considered under certain conditions but must be discussed with and agreed upon by the inspector. Two-way video conferencing may be available. Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our citizens and employees, effective March 17, 2020 the Building Division will NOT be scheduling inspections pertaining to mechanical, plumbing or electrical permits. This does NOT apply to new residential or any commercial permits. Any questions about this temporary policy, please call 901-457-2310.

The first time you enter the site, you will need to register and create a password.  Please follow the instructions and if you have any problems, don't hesitate to contact us.

The Online Permit and Application Center also provides public access to the current status of permits, permit reports, inspection results and activity, as well as access to reference material and documentation.

To search for permit status, request an inspection, verify than an inspection has been scheduled, or obtain other related information, and please follow the menu prompts.

 An application will not be considered sufficient for review until all items on the checklist are received. A “sufficiency review” letter is provided for most application types within three (3) business days after applying. This document will list any needed items and anticipated next steps for the project.
